Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has been handed a triple fitness boost ahead of the trip to Huddersfield this Saturday.

James Milner, who was initially feared to be out of action until November with a hamstring strain, has stunned the coaching staff as he looks to be fit to face Huddersfield at the weekend, according to the Mirror.

The former England international limped off during the Reds’ goalless draw with Manchester City 11 days ago and was ruled out for up to a month, but appears to have made a remarkable recovery.

Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk, who both picked up knocks during the international break, have given Klopp reason to be cheerful too, with both on track to be fit for the weekend.

The Dutchman scored in a 3-0 win over Germany, with Georginio Wijnaldum also netting.

Meanwhile, the Reds will be made to sweat on the fitness of Sadio Mane, who looks to have broken his thumb while away with Senegal. Pictures of the winger sporting a cast have been spread around social media, leading to supporters wondering if he’ll be available for selection.

Liverpool head into the weekend still unbeaten in the top flight having survived a late scare at home to the Champions, City, after Riyad Mahrez missed an 86th minute penalty following an uncharacteristic mistake from Virgil van Dijk.

Liverpool beat Huddersfield home & away in the Premier League last season, with 3-0 the score line on both occasions.
